The practice chanter is the basic instrument of learning and will last a lifetime. It can be purchased in smaller sizes to suit younger learners but progression to a full size is recommended as the hole spacing's correspond to the bagpipe chanter.
What you will need to get started
We do not recommend that people rush out and purchase pipes until they have mastered the basic techniques and a commitment has been made. A basic set will cost $1200 - $1800.
